Hi, my name is Jessica Nunn. Welcome to “For the Love of 3” and thank you for taking the time to check out my website. I was born in Bangkok, Thailand where my parents were missionaries. I am a homeschooling, cloth diaper using, vaccinate on my schedule, natural healthcare when possible, mostly plant based diet eating, peaceful parenting, CrossFit loving type of person.
I love God and want to raise my children to be like Jesus in the way that he was towards others… loving, caring, non-judgmental and always willing to help. I feel that God gave me a gift in that I love to help others in anyway I can. In the past 2 years I have felt that I am being lead to help others with their health. I hope to be a homeopathic doctor one day but for now I will stay home with my 3 precious children.
I believe God gave us all the things we need to care for ourselves on the earth and if we use them properly we can stay healthy and not have to depend on Western medicine as much as we do. I believe that Western meds should be our last resort, not our first.
I started on this journey for a love of natural and organic living when I was about 19 and was working at a health food store. I met some very interesting people with some strange ideas. About that same time I found out I had HPV in the form of pre-cancer cells in my cervix. The doctor had already frozen my cervix and that didn’t help, so the next step according to Western medicine) was to remove a cone shaped piece of my cervix.
What this meant was that I would have a 20% chance of not being able to carry babies past 5 months. This was too high of a risk for me and I wasn’t willing to accept it, much less let them do the procedure. So instead I sought out other alternatives. My search led me to Dr. Laurie Steelsmith, a naturopath who had cured my friend of the exact same thing.
Needless to say, my doctor was not at all happy about my choice; in fact, he was furious! That didn’t matter to me and I went ahead with the treatment as planned. I mean, what was the worst that could happen? If it didn’t work I would have simply been in the same place I already was.
Well, after a 6-week treatment that included a change to a 100% organic based diet I was fully cured. To this day I have not had an abnormal pap smear and this has been the main driving force that has sparked the desire to be healthier through food and vitamins.
It has been a long process, but sometimes things take time, and everyday I feel like I learn something new… something that I want to share. I have found amazing ways to manage everything from my stomach issues and constipation, to depression and anxiety attacks, all without the use of drugs.
My main emphasis right now is on food teas and tinctures. I love eating the rainbow! The more colors a meal has the better it tastes. I still eat a diet that is mostly plant based and organic, but I am eating for health so I consume whatever has the best health benefits. Some meat, eggs and fish when I feel it will benefit my family. I try not to be narrow minded about anything. I want to give my children the tools they need to make healthy choices when they leave my home.
*Please note that I am not a Doctor, nor am I suggesting you stop seeing your Doctor. These are healthy alternatives that I use and love and I am simply sharing them with you.
